A very rare type box in lovely aged condition. Engineers tool chest, Watch Makers Tool Box, Jewellers Box, campaign Box, stationary box. Rowbotham brass name plate, could be from the Suffolk regt. It's exact use I do not know but it has a letter pull out section on top so was probably used as a campaign type box for letters etc? The draws are quite shallow so they look like for pens and paper etc.

13" wide 12" high 9 deep. There are two hook locks on the side. There is a split on the wood on the top panel but is cosmetic and doesn't affect anything.

It looks like the original felt is still intact as there was 1930's or later wallpaper in the draws which I removed to show the felt. The felt in the top has gone and has the paper still there.
